- How long does a cloud migration take?
- It depends on size and complexity. A small environment with one or two servers usually takes two to four weeks. More complex cases involving databases and integrations can run to several months. After the initial assessment you get a specific timeline, not a range.
- Will the business stop during the migration?
- The plan is built so downtime is minimal and predictable. Most steps run in parallel with your existing environment, and the switchover happens in an agreed window, usually outside working hours.
- Will it cost more than our current servers?
- Not necessarily. The cloud often does cost more when an environment is lifted across one-to-one without resizing. That is why right-sizing is part of the work rather than a separate service.
- Can some systems stay on-premise?
- Yes. A hybrid setup is perfectly normal and sometimes the right answer — for instance when specific hardware is involved or regulation requires data to stay in place.
